I’m a web developer, a techie, a geek and media junkie, a Montrealer and one of 2 Fat Dads. I blog on a semi-regular basis over at www.planetfortier.com and www.2fatdads.com. I Tweet far too often about the Habs, Technology, being a Dad and of course Canada and The Great White North, so follow @JohnnyCanuck. I’m pretty much driven by my need to Get Out into The Great White North and exploring this Planet ERF while trying my best not destroying it in the process. I’m very GREEN as it also give me a really good excuse to be CHEAP.

A Hard Rocker, WoW gamer, Lego Builder and the other one of the Fat Dads. I’m planning on working to get rid of the fat part sometime in the coming decade. I’m totally addicted to recycling and composting. I’m currently addicted to: Heroes, Lost, House and WoW. I have seen all of these movies more times than any one person ever should: Aliens, X-Men, Die Hard and Tango and Cash. I used to spend quite a lot of time reading, mostly anything fictional and I hate sappy stories. For a guy who has spent most of his career on the phone this is still my favourite quote: “Yeah I called her up, she gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her, or something, I don’t know, I wasn’t really paying attention.” Harry in Dumb and Dumber. Still laugh at that one!

Steve McGurn

A Montreal based software developer by trade, father of 2 boys, happily married to an equally gadget hungry and amazing wife. So that’s the bullet description. I’m also an avid reader, play in a 20+ baseball league, am passionate about the web and open source. I like to voice my opnion on companies that overreach their power on consumers, technology, switching from PC to Mac, evaluating technology that I’m either buying or yearning to buy. Recently into doing my part to be more environmentally conscious, I’m now looking into ways to offset my CO2 footprint, while still running a PC and not regressing into the stone age. Headed for the second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning… I like to bike, and hike, and swim. Well, actually, I’d rather not have to swim but given my propensity for falling off/out of whatever boat (sail board, kayak, canoe, etc.) I’m on/in I figure being a decent swimmer is a good idea. And it helps keep me clean while I save on hot water.

I’m a French-Canadian who is a friend to some but foe to few. I’m hate to call myself a geek but I suffer from certain geek-ish tendencies. On occasion, I tend to be a repository of Useless Information! For a Montrealer, I suffer from a rare diseases called Acute, Bi-Lateral CantSkateTonitis. Also, I’ve learned to pronounce the word ‘Boot’ correctly and I don’t finish my sentences with the expression Eh! Needless to say, I love/hate too many things in Life so I won’t bother you with a list. In all fairness though, I’m mostly harmless!
